Another magical day! This morning we completed a magical key, a rose window and solved a number problem in our Hogwarts maths challenges. We then started to make a leaflet all about Quidditch for Muggles (check back tomorrow for finished leaflets!). This afternoon we had our first Potions lesson with Professor Hiller and created a magical green potion which frothed and bubbled in our cauldrons. Some of us also shared our character masks and extracts from our favourite books.
Harry Potter Day 2 on PhotoPeach
I have so many memories at horwich parish it is so hard to remember them all! I cant belive it is nearly the end of my time here. I remember most the time we went to france with school and I remember it took a whole day to get there and we had to meet at the Aldi carpark at 5.00am!! We even took our breakfast on the coach. I also remember robinwood and it didnt take as long to get there but it was still really good.
We made cakes and biscuits to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee. The biscuits were gingerbread which linked to our Literacy work. We also made a huge banner which we waved when we watched the Olympic Torch relay pass through Horwich.
If you can, please have a look at the Bolton News of 17th May, showing three of our Year 6 finalists in a competition to paint a portrait of the queen. This competition celebrates the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, with a chance for the winning entries to appear in print.
